FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Can I customize the specs of my bass?
Yes. Every Talon build is made to order. You'll choose woods, pickups, finish, and more. I’ll walk you through every step to make sure your instrument fits your tone and playing style.
-
How much does a Talon bass cost?
Final cost depends on your chosen specs and options. Once we finalize your build sheet, I’ll provide a quote. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your build, with the remaining balance split into two payments—one at the start of the build and one at delivery.
-
How long does it take to build a bass?
Each Talon bass is built with precision and care from the ground up. The typical build time is 16 to 24 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design and the current production queue. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process with progress and milestones along the way.
-
Is shipping included?
Yes—shipping is included for the lower 48 states. Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations will incur additional shipping charges, which will be quoted before the build begins. Every instrument is professionally packed and fully insured.
-
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every instrument includes a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner, covering craftsmanship and structural integrity.
-
Why is it called Talon Guitars?
The name was inspired by the Secretary Bird—a symbol of power, precision, and boldness. Just like that bird crushes snakes, these instruments are built with intention and strength. It’s a name that reflects both the tone and the mission behind every build.
